| CVE-2022-50766 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: set generation before calling btrfs_clean_tree_block in btrfs_init_new_buffer syzbot is reporting uninit-value in btrfs_clean_tree_block() [1], for commit bc877d285ca3dba2 ("btrfs: Deduplicate extent_buffer init code") missed that btrfs_set_header_generation() in btrfs_init_new_buffer() must not be moved to after clean_tree_block() because clean_tree_block() is calling btrfs_header_generation() since commit 55c69072d6bd5be1 ("Btrfs: Fix extent_buffer usage when nodesize != leafsize"). Since memzero_extent_buffer() will reset "struct btrfs_header" part, we can't move btrfs_set_header_generation() to before memzero_extent_buffer(). Just re-add btrfs_set_header_generation() before btrfs_clean_tree_block(). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: fix possible memory leak in mtk_probe() If mtk_wed_add_hw() has been called, mtk_wed_exit() needs be called in error path or removing module to free the memory allocated in mtk_wed_add_hw(). | ||||
| CVE-2022-50709 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: avoid uninit memory read in ath9k_htc_rx_msg() syzbot is reporting uninit value at ath9k_htc_rx_msg() [1], for ioctl(USB_RAW_IOCTL_EP_WRITE) can call ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() with pkt_len = 0 but ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() uses __dev_alloc_skb(pkt_len + 32, GFP_ATOMIC) based on an assumption that pkt_len is valid. As a result, ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() allocates skb with uninitialized memory and ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is reading from uninitialized memory. Since bytes accessed by ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is not known until ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is called, it would be difficult to check minimal valid pkt_len at "if (pkt_len > 2 * MAX_RX_BUF_SIZE) {" line in ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream(). We have two choices. One is to workaround by adding __GFP_ZERO so that ath9k_htc_rx_msg() sees 0 if pkt_len is invalid. The other is to let ath9k_htc_rx_msg() validate pkt_len before accessing. This patch chose the latter. Note that I'm not sure threshold condition is correct, for I can't find details on possible packet length used by this protocol. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/ieee802154: don't warn zero-sized raw_sendmsg() syzbot is hitting skb_assert_len() warning at __dev_queue_xmit() [1], for PF_IEEE802154 socket's zero-sized raw_sendmsg() request is hitting __dev_queue_xmit() with skb->len == 0. Since PF_IEEE802154 socket's zero-sized raw_sendmsg() request was able to return 0, don't call __dev_queue_xmit() if packet length is 0. ---------- #include <sys/socket.h> #include <netinet/in.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { struct sockaddr_in addr = { .sin_family = AF_INET, .sin_addr.s_addr = htonl(INADDR_LOOPBACK) }; struct iovec iov = { }; struct msghdr hdr = { .msg_name = &addr, .msg_namelen = sizeof(addr), .msg_iov = &iov, .msg_iovlen = 1 }; sendmsg(socket(PF_IEEE802154, SOCK_RAW, 0), &hdr, 0); return 0; } ---------- Note that this might be a sign that commit fd1894224407c484 ("bpf: Don't redirect packets with invalid pkt_len") should be reverted, for skb->len == 0 was acceptable for at least PF_IEEE802154 socket. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: gadget: Fix use-after-free during usb config switch In the process of switching USB config from rndis to other config, if the hardware does not support the ->pullup callback, or the hardware encounters a low probability fault, both of them may cause the ->pullup callback to fail, which will then cause a system panic (use after free). It was found that within a critical section of spin_lock_irqsave in sidtab_context_to_sid(), convert_context() (hooked by sidtab_convert_params.func) might cause the process to sleep via allocating memory with GFP_KERNEL, which is problematic. As Ondrej pointed out [1], convert_context()/sidtab_convert_params.func has another caller sidtab_convert_tree(), which is okay with GFP_KERNEL. Therefore, fix this problem by adding a gfp_t argument for convert_context()/sidtab_convert_params.func and pass GFP_KERNEL/_ATOMIC properly in individual callers. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio/type1: fix cap_migration information leak Fix an information leak where an uninitialized hole in struct vfio_iommu_type1_info_cap_migration on the stack is exposed to userspace. The definition of struct vfio_iommu_type1_info_cap_migration contains a hole as shown in this pahole(1) output: struct vfio_iommu_type1_info_cap_migration { struct vfio_info_cap_header header; /* 0 8 */ __u32 flags; /* 8 4 */ /* XXX 4 bytes hole, try to pack */ __u64 pgsize_bitmap; /* 16 8 */ __u64 max_dirty_bitmap_size; /* 24 8 */ /* size: 32, cachelines: 1, members: 4 */ /* sum members: 28, holes: 1, sum holes: 4 */ /* last cacheline: 32 bytes */ }; The cap_mig variable is filled in without initializing the hole: static int vfio_iommu_migration_build_caps(struct vfio_iommu *iommu, struct vfio_info_cap *caps) { struct vfio_iommu_type1_info_cap_migration cap_mig; cap_mig.header.id = VFIO_IOMMU_TYPE1_INFO_CAP_MIGRATION; cap_mig.header.version = 1; cap_mig.flags = 0; /* support minimum pgsize */ cap_mig.pgsize_bitmap = (size_t)1 << __ffs(iommu->pgsize_bitmap); cap_mig.max_dirty_bitmap_size = DIRTY_BITMAP_SIZE_MAX; return vfio_info_add_capability(caps, &cap_mig.header, sizeof(cap_mig)); } The structure is then copied to a temporary location on the heap. At this point it's already too late and ioctl(VFIO_IOMMU_GET_INFO) copies it to userspace later: int vfio_info_add_capability(struct vfio_info_cap *caps, struct vfio_info_cap_header *cap, size_t size) { struct vfio_info_cap_header *header; header = vfio_info_cap_add(caps, size, cap->id, cap->version); if (IS_ERR(header)) return PTR_ERR(header); memcpy(header + 1, cap + 1, size - sizeof(*header)); return 0; } This issue was found by code inspection. | ||||

When doing externel_lb again, napi_disable() will be double call, cause a deadlock of rtnl_lock(). This patch use the HNS3_NIC_STATE_DOWN state to protect the calling of napi_disable() and napi_enable() in externel_lb process, just as the usage in ndo_stop() and ndo_start(). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: sc16is7xx: setup GPIO controller later in probe The GPIO controller component of the sc16is7xx driver is setup too early, which can result in a race condition where another device tries to utilise the GPIO lines before the sc16is7xx device has finished initialising. This issue manifests itself as an Oops when the GPIO lines are configured: Unable to handle kernel read from unreadable memory at virtual address ... pc : sc16is7xx_gpio_direction_output+0x68/0x108 [sc16is7xx] lr : sc16is7xx_gpio_direction_output+0x4c/0x108 [sc16is7xx] ... The error handling has also been reordered to reflect the new initialisation order. | ||||
| CVE-2023-54117 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/dcssblk: fix kernel crash with list_add corruption Commit fb08a1908cb1 ("dax: simplify the dax_device <-> gendisk association") introduced new logic for gendisk association, requiring drivers to explicitly call dax_add_host() and dax_remove_host(). For dcssblk driver, some dax_remove_host() calls were missing, e.g. in device remove path. The commit also broke error handling for out_dax case in device add path, resulting in an extra put_device() w/o the previous get_device() in that case. This lead to stale xarray entries after device add / remove cycles. In the case when a previously used struct gendisk pointer (xarray index) would be used again, because blk_alloc_disk() happened to return such a pointer, the xa_insert() in dax_add_host() would fail and go to out_dax, doing the extra put_device() in the error path. In combination with an already flawed error handling in dcssblk (device_register() cleanup), which needs to be addressed in a separate patch, this resulted in a missing device_del() / klist_del(), and eventually in the kernel crash with list_add corruption on a subsequent device_add() / klist_add(). Fix this by adding the missing dax_remove_host() calls, and also move the put_device() in the error path to restore the previous logic. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iomap: allocate s_dio_done_wq for async reads as well Since commit 222f2c7c6d14 ("iomap: always run error completions in user context"), read error completions are deferred to s_dio_done_wq. This means the workqueue also needs to be allocated for async reads. | ||||
