CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: preserve VFS inherited POSIX ACL mask
The VFS initializes a child's POSIX ACL from the parent's default ACL and
the requested creation mode. Do not mutate the parent ACL or overwrite the
child's VFS-computed access and default ACLs afterwards.
This preserves restrictive ACL_MASK entries and prevents SMB object creation
from widening effective permissions. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: clear setuid/setgid bit on write with cifsacl/modefromsid/posix extensions
When a file has the setuid or setgid bit set and is written to, the VFS
strips those bits and issues a setattr with ATTR_KILL_SUID/ATTR_KILL_SGID
together with an ATTR_MODE carrying the already-cleared mode.
Both cifs_setattr_unix() and cifs_setattr_nounix() unconditionally dropped
ATTR_MODE in that case:
/* skip mode change if it's just for clearing setuid/setgid */
if (attrs->ia_valid & (ATTR_KILL_SUID|ATTR_KILL_SGID))
attrs->ia_valid &= ~ATTR_MODE;
This is fine for the default mount, where the mode is only emulated via
the DOS read-only attribute and cannot represent the setuid/setgid bits
anyway. However, with the "cifsacl" or "modefromsid" mount options the
mode is stored on the server through an ACL (id_mode_to_cifs_acl()), with
the SMB3.1.1 POSIX extensions the mode is sent to the server directly,
and with the SMB1 Unix extensions (cifs_setattr_unix) the mode is sent
via CIFSSMBUnixSetPathInfo(). In all those cases dropping ATTR_MODE means
the cleared mode is never pushed to the server, so the setuid/setgid bit
survives the write.
This is a security issue: on local filesystems the setuid bit is stripped
when a file is written, but over these cifs.ko mounts the bit persists on
the server, potentially allowing an unexpected privilege escalation on
subsequent execution.
Fix this in two places:
1. cifs_setattr_nounix(): only take the "skip mode change" shortcut
when the mode is emulated via the DOS read-only attribute (i.e.
neither cifsacl/modefromsid nor the SMB3.1.1 POSIX extensions are
in effect), so that the cleared mode is propagated to the server
in the ACL / POSIX cases.
2. cifs_setattr_unix(): this function is only called when Unix
extensions are in effect, so the mode is always stored on the
server. Remove the shortcut entirely so that the cleared mode is
always pushed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
octeontx2-af: Block VFs from clobbering special CGX PKIND state
PF and VF NIX LFs that share a CGX LMAC reuse the same hardware PKIND
programming. When HiGig2 or EDSA parsing is enabled, a VF NIX LF alloc must
not reset the LMAC RX PKIND or default TX parse config over the PF setup.
Add cgx_get_pkind() and rvu_cgx_is_pkind_config_permitted() so VFs skip
cgx_set_pkind(), rvu_npc_set_pkind(), and NIX_AF_LFX_TX_PARSE_CFG updates
when the LMAC is using NPC_RX_HIGIG_PKIND or NPC_RX_EDSA_PKIND. |

btrfs: reject new transactions if the fs is fully read-only
[BUG]
There is a bug report where a heavily fuzzed fs is mounted with all
rescue mount options, which leads to the following warnings during
unmount:

Since rescue mount options will mark the full fs read-only, there should
be no new transaction triggered.
But during unmount we will evict all inodes, which can trigger a new
transaction, and triggers warnings on a heavily corrupted fs.
[CAUSE]
Btrfs allows new transaction even on a read-only fs, this is to allow
log replay happen even on read-only mounts, just like what ext4/xfs do.
However with rescue mount options, the fs is fully read-only and cannot
be remounted read-write, thus in that case we should also reject any new
transactions.
[FIX]
If we find the fs has rescue mount options, we should treat the fs as
error, so that no new transaction can be started. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/userfaultfd: reset ptes when close() for wr-protected ones
Userfaultfd unregister includes a step to remove wr-protect bits from all
the relevant pgtable entries, but that only covered an explicit
UFFDIO_UNREGISTER ioctl, not a close() on the userfaultfd itself. Cover
that too. This fixes a WARN trace.
The only user visible side effect is the user can observe leftover
wr-protect bits even if the user close()ed on an userfaultfd when
releasing the last reference of it. However hopefully that should be
harmless, and nothing bad should happen even if so.
This change is now more important after the recent page-table-check
patch we merged in mm-unstable (446dd9ad37d0 ("mm/page_table_check:
support userfault wr-protect entries")), as we'll do sanity check on
uffd-wp bits without vma context. So it's better if we can 100%
guarantee no uffd-wp bit leftovers, to make sure each report will be
valid. |
| Authentication Bypass Using an Alternate Path or Channel vulnerability in Drupal CAPTCHA allows Functionality Bypass. This issue affects CAPTCHA versions: from 0.0.0 to 1.18.0, from 2.0.0 to 2.0.11. |
| A flaw was found in the required action provider mechanism of Keycloak. The issue occurs when an authorization request includes the kc_action query parameter set to a mandatory action already assigned to the user, such as profile verification or terms and conditions. Due to incorrect handling of application-initiated actions, Keycloak may skip these mandatory challenges and issue an authorization code. This can allow a user to bypass administrative requirements and gain access to the application without completing necessary profile updates or agreeing to terms. |
| An authorization issue was addressed with improved state management. This issue is fixed in Xcode 27.2. An app may be able to access sensitive user data. |
| SuperAGI up to v0.0.14 contains an improper access control vulnerability. The agent controller endpoint /api/agents/get/project/{project_id} allows authenticated users from one organization to retrieve the complete list of agents belonging to a different organization's project. The endpoint accepts a project_id parameter but does not verify that the project belongs to the authenticated user's organization. |
| SuperAGI v0.0.14 contains an improper access control vulnerability in get_agent_by_latest_execution in superagi/controllers/agent_execution.py. A remote authenticated attacker from one organization can retrieve latest execution and agent metadata for another organization's project through /agentexecutions/get/latest/agent/project/{project_id} by supplying a victim project_id. |
