Older, EOL versions may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.0-M17, 10.1.19, 9.0.86 or 8.5.99 which fix the issue. | ||||
| CVE-2025-24813 | 4 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 1 more | 7 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Bootstrap Os and 4 more | 2025-10-29 | 10 Critical |
| Path Equivalence: 'file.Name' (Internal Dot) leading to Remote Code Execution and/or Information disclosure and/or malicious content added to uploaded files via write enabled Default Servlet in Apache Tomcat. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.2, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.34, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.98. The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are known to be affected: 8.5.0 though 8.5.100. Other, older, EOL versions may also be affected. If all of the following were true, a malicious user was able to view security sensitive files and/or inject content into those files: - writes enabled for the default servlet (disabled by default) - support for partial PUT (enabled by default) - a target URL for security sensitive uploads that was a sub-directory of a target URL for public uploads - attacker knowledge of the names of security sensitive files being uploaded - the security sensitive files also being uploaded via partial PUT If all of the following were true, a malicious user was able to perform remote code execution: - writes enabled for the default servlet (disabled by default) - support for partial PUT (enabled by default) - application was using Tomcat's file based session persistence with the default storage location - application included a library that may be leveraged in a deserialization attack Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.3, 10.1.35 or 9.0.99, which fixes the issue. | ||||
| CVE-2021-43980 | 3 Apache, Debian, Redhat | 3 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2025-05-21 | 3.7 Low |
| The simplified implementation of blocking reads and writes introduced in Tomcat 10 and back-ported to Tomcat 9.0.47 onwards exposed a long standing (but extremely hard to trigger) concurrency bug in Apache Tomcat 10.1.0 to 10.1.0-M12, 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.18, 9.0.0-M1 to 9.0.60 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.77 that could cause client connections to share an Http11Processor instance resulting in responses, or part responses, to be received by the wrong client. | ||||
| CVE-2022-42252 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 2 Tomcat, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2025-05-06 | 7.5 High |
| If Apache Tomcat 8.5.0 to 8.5.82, 9.0.0-M1 to 9.0.67, 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.26 or 10.1.0-M1 to 10.1.0 was configured to ignore invalid HTTP headers via setting rejectIllegalHeader to false (the default for 8.5.x only), Tomcat did not reject a request containing an invalid Content-Length header making a request smuggling attack possible if Tomcat was located behind a reverse proxy that also failed to reject the request with the invalid header. | ||||
| CVE-2022-4244 | 2 Codehaus-plexus, Redhat | 23 Plexus-utils, A Mq Clients, Amq Broker and 20 more | 2025-05-05 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in codeplex-codehaus. A directory traversal attack (also known as path traversal) aims to access files and directories stored outside the intended folder. By manipulating files with "dot-dot-slash (../)" sequences and their variations or by using absolute file paths, it may be possible to access arbitrary files and directories stored on the file system, including application source code, configuration, and other critical system files. | ||||
| CVE-2020-25638 | 5 Debian, Hibernate, Oracle and 2 more | 15 Debian Linux, Hibernate Orm, Communications Cloud Native Core Console and 12 more | 2025-04-23 | 7.4 High |
| A flaw was found in hibernate-core in versions prior to and including 5.4.23.Final. A SQL injection in the implementation of the JPA Criteria API can permit unsanitized literals when a literal is used in the SQL comments of the query. This flaw could allow an attacker to access unauthorized information or possibly conduct further attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity. | ||||

| CVE-2017-12613 | 3 Apache, Debian, Redhat | 17 Portable Runtime, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux and 14 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.1 High |
| When apr_time_exp*() or apr_os_exp_time*() functions are invoked with an invalid month field value in Apache Portable Runtime APR 1.6.2 and prior, out of bounds memory may be accessed in converting this value to an apr_time_exp_t value, potentially revealing the contents of a different static heap value or resulting in program termination, and may represent an information disclosure or denial of service vulnerability to applications which call these APR functions with unvalidated external input. | ||||
| CVE-2015-5183 | 1 Redhat | 6 Amq, Amq Broker, Jboss A-mq and 3 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| Console: HTTPOnly and Secure attributes not set on cookies in Red Hat AMQ. | ||||
| CVE-2016-8610 | 7 Debian, Fujitsu, Netapp and 4 more | 55 Debian Linux, M10-1, M10-1 Firmware and 52 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| A denial of service flaw was found in OpenSSL 0.9.8, 1.0.1, 1.0.2 through 1.0.2h, and 1.1.0 in the way the TLS/SSL protocol defined processing of ALERT packets during a connection handshake. A remote attacker could use this flaw to make a TLS/SSL server consume an excessive amount of CPU and fail to accept connections from other clients. | ||||
| CVE-2016-6816 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 4 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The code in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M11, 8.5.0 to 8.5.6, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.38, 7.0.0 to 7.0.72, and 6.0.0 to 6.0.47 that parsed the HTTP request line permitted invalid characters. This could be exploited, in conjunction with a proxy that also permitted the invalid characters but with a different interpretation, to inject data into the HTTP response. By manipulating the HTTP response the attacker could poison a web-cache, perform an XSS attack and/or obtain sensitive information from requests other then their own. | ||||
| CVE-2016-8745 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 3 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| A bug in the error handling of the send file code for the NIO HTTP connector in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M13, 8.5.0 to 8.5.8, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.39, 7.0.0 to 7.0.73 and 6.0.16 to 6.0.48 resulted in the current Processor object being added to the Processor cache multiple times. This in turn meant that the same Processor could be used for concurrent requests. Sharing a Processor can result in information leakage between requests including, not not limited to, session ID and the response body. The bug was first noticed in 8.5.x onwards where it appears the refactoring of the Connector code for 8.5.x onwards made it more likely that the bug was observed. Initially it was thought that the 8.5.x refactoring introduced the bug but further investigation has shown that the bug is present in all currently supported Tomcat versions. | ||||
| CVE-2017-5647 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 3 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| A bug in the handling of the pipelined requests in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M18, 8.5.0 to 8.5.12, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.42, 7.0.0 to 7.0.76, and 6.0.0 to 6.0.52, when send file was used, results in the pipelined request being lost when send file processing of the previous request completed. This could result in responses appearing to be sent for the wrong request. For example, a user agent that sent requests A, B and C could see the correct response for request A, the response for request C for request B and no response for request C. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9788 | 6 Apache, Apple, Debian and 3 more | 18 Http Server, Mac Os X, Debian Linux and 15 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Apache httpd before 2.2.34 and 2.4.x before 2.4.27, the value placeholder in [Proxy-]Authorization headers of type 'Digest' was not initialized or reset before or between successive key=value assignments by mod_auth_digest. Providing an initial key with no '=' assignment could reflect the stale value of uninitialized pool memory used by the prior request, leading to leakage of potentially confidential information, and a segfault in other cases resulting in denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2016-5387 | 8 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 5 more | 22 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 19 more | 2025-04-12 | 8.1 High |
| The Apache HTTP Server through 2.4.23 follows RFC 3875 section 4.1.18 and therefore does not protect applications from the presence of untrusted client data in the HTTP_PROXY environment variable, which might allow remote attackers to redirect an application's outbound HTTP traffic to an arbitrary proxy server via a crafted Proxy header in an HTTP request, aka an "httpoxy" issue. NOTE: the vendor states "This mitigation has been assigned the identifier CVE-2016-5387"; in other words, this is not a CVE ID for a vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2015-3183 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 5 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform and 2 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The chunked transfer coding implementation in the Apache HTTP Server before 2.4.14 does not properly parse chunk headers, which allows remote attackers to conduct HTTP request smuggling attacks via a crafted request, related to mishandling of large chunk-size values and invalid chunk-extension characters in modules/http/http_filters.c. | ||||
| CVE-2015-3197 | 3 Openssl, Oracle, Redhat | 13 Openssl, Exalogic Infrastructure, Oss Support Tools and 10 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| ssl/s2_srvr.c in OpenSSL 1.0.1 before 1.0.1r and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2f does not prevent use of disabled ciphers, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to defeat cryptographic protection mechanisms by performing computations on SSLv2 traffic, related to the get_client_master_key and get_client_hello functions. | ||||
| CVE-2016-1240 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 4 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 1 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The Tomcat init script in the tomcat7 package before 7.0.56-3+deb8u4 and tomcat8 package before 8.0.14-1+deb8u3 on Debian jessie and the tomcat6 and libtomcat6-java packages before 6.0.35-1ubuntu3.8 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, the tomcat7 and libtomcat7-java packages before 7.0.52-1ubuntu0.7 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and tomcat8 and libtomcat8-java packages before 8.0.32-1ubuntu1.2 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS allows local users with access to the tomcat account to gain root privileges via a symlink attack on the Catalina log file, as demonstrated by /var/log/tomcat7/catalina.out. | ||||
