| Use after free in Blink XSLT in Google Chrome prior to 91.0.4472.164 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. | ||||
| CVE-2022-40303 | 4 Apple, Netapp, Redhat and 1 more | 25 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 22 more | 2025-04-29 | 7.5 High |
| An issue was discovered in libxml2 before 2.10.3. When parsing a multi-gigabyte XML document with the XML_PARSE_HUGE parser option enabled, several integer counters can overflow. This results in an attempt to access an array at a negative 2GB offset, typically leading to a segmentation fault. | ||||

| The xsltAddTextString function in transform.c in libxslt 1.1.29, as used in Blink in Google Chrome prior to 57.0.2987.98 for Mac, Windows, and Linux and 57.0.2987.108 for Android, lacked a check for integer overflow during a size calculation, which allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page. | ||||
| CVE-2017-5969 | 1 Xmlsoft | 1 Libxml2 | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| libxml2 2.9.4, when used in recover mode, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) via a crafted XML document. NOTE: The maintainer states "I would disagree of a CVE with the Recover parsing option which should only be used for manual recovery at least for XML parser. | ||||
| CVE-2016-4483 | 4 Debian, Oracle, Redhat and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Solaris, Jboss Core Services and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| The xmlBufAttrSerializeTxtContent function in xmlsave.c in libxml2 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and application crash) via a non-UTF-8 attribute value, related to serialization. NOTE: this vulnerability may be a duplicate of CVE-2016-3627. | ||||
| CVE-2015-9019 | 1 Xmlsoft | 1 Libxslt | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In libxslt 1.1.29 and earlier, the EXSLT math.random function was not initialized with a random seed during startup, which could cause usage of this function to produce predictable outputs. | ||||
| CVE-2017-16931 | 1 Xmlsoft | 1 Libxml2 | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| parser.c in libxml2 before 2.9.5 mishandles parameter-entity references because the NEXTL macro calls the xmlParserHandlePEReference function in the case of a '%' character in a DTD name. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9047 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| A buffer overflow was discovered in libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801. The function xmlSnprintfElementContent in valid.c is supposed to recursively dump the element content definition into a char buffer 'buf' of size 'size'. The variable len is assigned strlen(buf). If the content->type is XML_ELEMENT_CONTENT_ELEMENT, then (i) the content->prefix is appended to buf (if it actually fits) whereupon (ii) content->name is written to the buffer. However, the check for whether the content->name actually fits also uses 'len' rather than the updated buffer length strlen(buf). This allows us to write about "size" many bytes beyond the allocated memory. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. | ||||
| CVE-2015-7941 | 3 Canonical, Redhat, Xmlsoft | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server and 1 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| libxml2 2.9.2 does not properly stop parsing invalid input, which allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and libxml2 crash) via crafted XML data to the (1) xmlParseEntityDecl or (2) xmlParseConditionalSections function in parser.c, as demonstrated by non-terminated entities. | ||||
| CVE-2015-7498 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Hp and 2 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Icewall Federation Agent and 8 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in the xmlParseXmlDecl function in parser.c in libxml2 before 2.9.3 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service via unspecified vectors related to extracting errors after an encoding conversion failure. | ||||
| CVE-2016-1840 | 6 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 16 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 13 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
