CVSS v3.1 |
| libIEC61850 is an open-source implementation of IEC 61850 client and server protocols including MMS, GOOSE, Sampled Values, and R-Session. Prior to 1.6.2, parseUserInformation in src/mms/iso_acse/acse.c checks len for zero before validating the negative bufPos returned by BerDecoder_decodeLength for a truncated long-form length. The continue path therefore swallows the error, reads buffer[-1], resets parsing to the beginning, and repeats the same malformed state. An unauthenticated remote peer can send a malformed AARE PDU during association to cause an infinite CPU loop under a normal allocator or a one-byte out-of-bounds read and process abort when the preceding byte is inaccessible. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.2. |
| libIEC61850 is an open-source implementation of IEC 61850 client and server protocols including MMS, GOOSE, Sampled Values, and R-Session. Prior to 1.6.2, checkDataSetAccess reverses the source and destination arguments to StringUtils_copyStringToBuffer while constructing an MMS_ASSOCIATION_SPECIFIC dataset reference. The helper treats uninitialized dataSetRef[130] storage as a source string, causing strlen to read beyond the stack buffer, and then copies those bytes into the caller-owned listName buffer. A remote defineNamedVariableList request can crash servers that have dynamic dataset service enabled and a dataset access handler installed; the advisory also observes caller stack corruption but establishes denial of service as the primary impact. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.2. |

| libIEC61850 is an open-source implementation of IEC 61850 client and server protocols including MMS, GOOSE, Sampled Values, and R-Session. Prior to 1.6.2, alternateArrayAccess in src/mms/iso_mms/server/mms_read_service.c does not validate an alternate-access sub-array range when numberOfElements is greater than zero. An out-of-range MmsValue_getElement call returns NULL, and the sub-array branch passes that value to MmsValue_isDeletable, causing a NULL pointer dereference. A remote MMS Read request can therefore crash servers whose data models contain arrays, while the single-element error path handles the same invalid index safely. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.2. |

| The package github.com/gomarkdown/markdown is a Go library for parsing Markdown text and rendering as HTML. Prior to 0.0.0-20260724235538-61af6e1e6971, parser.IsSafeURL in parser/parser.go slices url[:nPath] before the len(url) >= nPath guard. A short destination causes a slice-bounds panic when the loop reaches a relative-path prefix for which len(url) < nPath and cap(url) < nPath. The one-byte destination / is an explicit non-panic counterexample because it matches the first valid path and returns before a longer prefix is sliced. Demonstrated panic cases include empty, ., and .. destinations under those conditions. The panic is reachable when markdown.ToHTML renders untrusted Markdown with html.Safelink enabled, including an empty link destination, and is also reachable by callers that pass a short attacker-controlled URL directly to the exported parser.IsSafeURL function. An uncaught panic can terminate the calling process and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in 0.0.0-20260724235538-61af6e1e6971. |
| kqueue_fork_copy_knote() indexed into the child's file descriptor table using a knote's file descriptor number without a bounds check. Because the child's table is copied before knotes are transferred, a concurrent thread in the parent could grow the parent's table and register knotes with file descriptor numbers beyond the end of the child's table, causing an out-of-bounds read.
An unprivileged local user may be able to exploit these races to escalate privileges. |
| libmodplug through 0.8.9.1 contains a heap-based out-of-bounds read vulnerability in CSoundFile::ReadAMS2() in src/load_ams.cpp that allows attackers to read adjacent heap memory via crafted AMS files. Attackers can supply an AMS module whose pattern effect bytes keep bit 7 set, driving the decoder past the input buffer and crashing any libmodplug consumer. |
| A Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the sdxd service-deployment daemon of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a remote unauthenticated attacker who can control or intercept the configured SDX/SRC server connection to execute code as root or cause denial of service via a crafted frame received over the service-deployment TCP connection. |
| A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the iked IKE key-management daemon of Juniper Networks Junos OS on the SRX Series allows an authenticated remote-access VPN client to execute code with root privileges or cause denial of service via the remote-access VPN authentication and JIMS identity-publishing path. |
| A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the phone-home daemon (phcd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code as root via a crafted DHCP SZTP bootstrap message.
This issue only affects platforms that support Secure-ZTP. |
| A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the cfmd process of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series and Junos OS Evolved on PTX Series platforms allows an unauthenticated adjacent-network attacker to execute arbitrary code as root or cause denial of service via a specific CFM Message sent to a configured down-MEP with enhanced CFM mode enabled. |
| A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the jdhcpd process of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved platforms allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to cause denial of service or execute arbitrary code with root privileges via a malformed DHCPv4 server response when the DHCPv4 local-client feature is used. |
| A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the l2cpd process of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code with root privileges via LLDP traffic received on an interface with Unified Access Policy enabled. |
| A Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the secure-dot1xd process of Juniper Networks on Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated adjacent network attacker to execute code as root or cause a denial of service via an EAPOL frame sent to an 802.1X-authenticated interface. |
| A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the authd process of Juniper Networks Junos OS allows an attacker able to influence a configured RADIUS server to cause authd to crash or execute code with root privileges via a malicious RADIUS response. |
| A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a remote configured BGP peer to cause an rpd crash, or on Junos OS remote code-execution, via sending a flow-spec update which is selected for re-advertisement. |
